2-Inch NPS

Some valves use NPS, or National Pipe Straight thread.

A 2-inch NPS male connection measures about 59.6 mm across and uses much finer threads than S60x6.

Straight pipe threads normally depend on a gasket, washer, O-ring, or another sealing surface rather than tightening through a tapered thread.

BSP Connections

BSP means British Standard Pipe.

BSP fittings are common on some IBC hardware and adapters. A fitting marked BSP should not automatically be treated as NPT simply because the nominal size is the same.

Check the exact thread standard before joining pipe fittings from different systems.

What Is a Camlock Fitting?

A camlock, also called a cam-and-groove coupling, is a quick-connect fitting.

Instead of screwing the main connection together, one side has cam arms that lock around a grooved mating fitting.

Gravity-fed rainwater systems also have limited pressure. The higher the water surface is above the outlet, the greater the available head height.

Head height means the vertical distance between the water level and the point where the water is being delivered.
